Be Inspired Features and Link Party #67

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!

I feel like the whole weekend was one big party! Now it's back to reality ... cleaning, laundry, putting my house back in order and oh yes, starting a whole new batch of furniture projects! But first, here are just a few of your amazing projects that caught my eye last week .....

What would you say if a friend asked you to paint her piano? There's a reason that Amanda is known as Jedi Craft Girl!

Kathy from Petticoat Junktion shared this absolutely gorgeous antique bed that's just made for a princess!

Kimberly from Vera & Evelyn almost passed on this now beautiful hutch. Good thing her Mom knew better!

How sophisticated is this DIY tufted headboard from Sharon at Lilikoi Joy!

Laura from The Turquoise Room shared all the details on the board and batten treatment that totally transformed her living room!

This DIY industrial numbered crate project from Elisha at Pneumatic Addict Furniture is definitely going on my to-do list!

If you haven't already met Our Pinteresting Family, you really need to stop by and say hello. Megan comes up with one cute and thrifty project after another. This week she created wall art from a gift bag!

Barbara from The Big Giant Food Basket shared her recipe for White Bean and Garlic Hummus. I love hummus, why have I never made my own?

Blueberry Crumb Pie just happens to be one of my very favorites. And this recipe from Deneen at Dreaming in Color comes with a sweet story too!

These One Hour Peanut Butter Rolls from Root and Blossom look like they would just melt in your mouth!

And Todd & Lindsey shared two sweet recipes with us. First up, this pretty Strawberry Cake that would be perfect with a scoop of ice cream!

Or maybe you are more in the mood for a Snickerdoodle Cupcake - oh my!

Thank you to our wonderful customers!

Our spring tag sale is a wrap. We were blessed with glorious sunshine and as always, the support of our families and the most wonderful customers and friends ever!

We love watching our little house come to life for each sale!

I especially love that moment of calm, quiet and anticipation just before we open the doors- aah!

And then it gets really crazy and I forget all about taking pictures! ... But how about a shout-out for our strong and handsome furniture movers. Thanks so much Kevin, Dean, Byron, Ryan and Timothy!

And I have to share one quick story with you. ... Kim is one of our new friends and our very last customer of the weekend. She and her husband had never been to one of our sales. Just by chance they had driven by earlier in the day and spotted this bench in the front yard. They couldn't stop at that moment and kept their fingers crossed that it would still be there when they returned. They made it back just as we were locking up. Not only was the bench still there (already packed up in the garage), but Kim made a quick walk through the house and found a few other treasures while her husband went home for his truck. Just the day before, they had been talking about a red telephone. And you guessed it, we had a red telephone. And the funny thing is that the bench almost didn't even make it to the sale. It's actually a church pew that I got from Craigslist, thanks to a tip from my sweet blog friend Cassie. My plan was to paint it for the next sale. Susan already had a church pew for this sale, but it sold on Friday. Susan suggested I bring mine on Saturday, just in case someone wanted it just the way it was. ... Kim was so tickled with her finds and clearly it was all meant to be! Don't you just love when that happens!!!

From all the girls at Elizabeth & Co., a huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers. You are a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. You allow us to do what we love and share it with you. Really, what could be better than that!

We're already looking forward to seeing you again in July!

Be Inspired Features and Link Party #66

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!

Just finishing up a few last minute details for our spring tag sale that starts tomorrow! Our sales happen just four times a year and we try to give each one our very best. If you are a local reader, be sure to check out the preview post here and come by and say hello. Now on to this week's awesome features...

This staircase transformation from Todd & Lindsey was years in the making, but I think it was worth the wait!

Susan from Sunflower Hugs had to do a little problem solving on this rustic grey dresser and I love the result!

Susan from Uniquely Mine or Yours is fearless when it comes to using bold colors and she shared her secret weapon for cleaning hardware - ammonia! I've already put ammonia on my shopping list!

Another great color choice came from Angela at Number Fifty-Three!

And it looks like P.S. I'll Paint You  had the same great idea!

Love this gorgeous dry brushed antique dresser from Heidi at All Things Bring Joy!

Deb from Twice Nice transformed this dresser with sheet music!

And Lynn from Fern Avenue shared her dresser covered in wrapping paper!

Love the houndstooth design on this pretty table from Cyndi at Blue Star Antiques!

Aimee from The Vintage Estate decided to give the Union Jack design a try on this coffee table. It looks great, don't you think?

Anjana from At the Corner of Happy and Harried shared her very first painting project. This little chair without a back makes the cutest stool ever!

And a fresh color on the front door worked wonders on this pretty front porch from DIY With Jen and B!

Thanks so much to everyone who linked up and linked back!

Spring 2013 Tag Sale Preview

Spring is finally in the air and it's time for our first tag sale of the year!

And in case you've never visited us before, here's a little background ... the girls at Elizabeth & Co. team up several times a year to host vintage tag sales in a charming old house in downtown Westminster. We have an abundance of painted furniture, architectural salvage, pretty linens, glassware, chalkboards, garden décor and so much more. Each sale is completely new, fresh and unique. It's always a fun surprise for us to bring our finds together and we hope you enjoy it too!

And what exactly is a tag sale? .... If you see something you like, feel free to grab the tag. It's a little hard to carry a piece of furniture around while you browse. And take my word for it, if you don't grab the tag, someone else will!

We'll be tweaking and fluffing the house right up until the moment we open the front door, but here's a little peek at what we have in store for you this time around!

Remember Susan's Paper Mache Easter Eggs?
Here's the Spring version!
